Amazon shipping to Australia Question

melias24

hi, i was wondering if this Amazon store ships to Australia, its PC Parts Depot, i had to choose a different store because Amazon wont ship, i circled it and noticed a differnce and that it said 'international and domestic shipping rates' unlike the others that just say 'domestic shipping rates' i have a hunch that PC parts Depot ships to Australia, but i just wanted to clarify with someone on Linustechtips. \

Thanks,

~Elias

Which part? the task bar part or the steam part because if you don't know what steam is then that's blasphemy :P

Then I wouldn't buy from them, if they can't be bothered to answer a simple shipping query, I wouldn't feel comfortable giving them my money.

How much exactly are you saving by buying from amazon anyway? You do realise as soon as it hits our shores, the government is going to have their hand out asking for GST and other possible taxes on your $1500 parcel.

Im not really saving that much but i can get better components, all i want is a GTX 780 build with an sli mobo and a reference GTX 780....but ic ant find a good build or make one, so i was thinking i just order the GTX 780 from America...unless someone can help me make a reference GTX 780 build in Australia with a motherboard that supports sli to future proof it.

I had a look....all their Reference GTX 780s are 'not' available for Australian Shipping.

@melias24 There are lots of online stores in Australia, as I said in the other thread.

Most motherboards on Z87/Z97 support SLI - you don't need special support for that.

Also buying everything from overseas means you will possibly get taxed if the order is over $1k, so it's usually cheaper to buy in Asutralia.

On PCCG for example:

Graphics Card: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1483&products_id=27293

Motherboard: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=138_1491&products_id=27536

I have put no thought into those parts at all, but that is an SLI capable 1150 build. Depending on your budget you could get cheaper options or something much more expensive with more features. Up to you.

Thanks for that, my Budget is $1550-$1600 (preferable shipping included in that cost.)

@melias24

Here's a VERY rough idea of what you could get. $1700 inc shipping.

http://www.pccasegear.com/sc/k2q

You can save money on either the motherboard or the PSU, which both exceed your needs, and you could save about $5 on the RAM if you went for a slower speed. You could also save a considerable amount on the GPU if you went with the model I showed you in my earlier post. Could probably also find a cheaper case and SSD.
