Should I worry?

FedEx needs to learn how to deliver. It looks like some dumbass kicked my box or speared it with a forklift. Not only was the outer box damaged, but the box containing the motherboard was damaged. I won't have a power supply or ram anytime soon so I can't test to see if it works. Should I worry? There is no visible damage.

I would open and inspect for physical damage, pray I had shipping insurance and if it looks busted freak out at fedex.

This is why you never order parts to sit for a while, always save up and order everything at once so you know if things work BEFORE the warranty runs out and you don't have to guess.

If i were you i would return it just for the fact that i like to put my boxes on display, but ya i would be worried and very pissed. My corsair 350d just came today from amazon and the packaging on the outside sucked however the actual boxes was fine.

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.

Mistakes happen in shipping. Not the carriers fault. Check it for damage and if it is, the retailer usually gives you a hand on that end

Return it, or file a complaint with fedex.

 

I hate both fedex and UPS. they're delivery times are never EVER accurate, everything I've ever received had the outer box damaged. Their tracking system is a joke.

 

Too bad there isn't a 3rd option for people like me ordering from newegg.

 

But yes, return it, or file a complaint with fedex, and make them ship you another one for free or something. Flat out demand that this be made right, if they try and give you shit, threaten them with bad word of mouth (most companies will roll over at that point if you make enough of a stink)

 

FedEx is horrendous. If you've got the option choose UPS or DHL over them. Everything I've ordered that's been delivered by FedEx has arrived damaged.

DHL? never heard of them. UPS has been just as bad as fedex from my experience

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs
