Gaming Laptop 1500 budget

Hey guys

Basically I'm going away for college and I'm on the fence on bringing my amazing gaming desktop or not because there is no room in my dorm room and I need a nice laptop I can game with.

Preferences?

  • Intel (I don't like AMD)
  • Nvidia
  • It doesn't have to be a must but it would be preferred if there was extra space inside so I can have a hard drive and SSD.
  • Please don't go over 1500 as that is my limit.

Thanks!

@mattmejia isn't there another use case for this laptop? besides pure gaming?

I prefer Asus, Lenovo, MSI but it could be any brand. If you have another brand I can consider it

I'll name a couple brands and models for you to check out. Might be tricky to find some good ones but I'm gonna look up some on newegg and micro us.

Hopefully you can get some time to choose between them, analyse the hardware etc.

I'd prefer it not be from newegg as they have a warehouse located in my state and I'd be hit my high taxes

Edit:Amazon also

I'm only using it for a reference for the model as a search.

What size do you prefer? 14", 15", 17"? Are you going to be carrying the laptop around with you everywhere? Do you prefer ultraportability (thickness <1 inch) or would you prefer stronger hardware?

concidering your future notebook needs be mobile I suggest a 15 inch notebook.

  • 2 weeks later...

If you can stretch the 1600 for a Msi GS60 Ghost it's absolutely awesome. I have no regrets for purchasing mine. Two ssds, 860m and up to 16 gb of ram with a top tier i7 all crammed into a super thin 4.36 lb package
