ssd question

I am thinking about getting an ssd. Should I get a single 256gb ssd or 2 128gb ssds and put them in raid 0.

 I know my motherboard supports raid, so that's not an issue. Which ssd would you recommend for either of these scenarios?

The speed difference is minimal, but if one of the drives fails on reading/writing, or fails in general you are screwed on both sides. Get the single 256gb, less cable clutter and more safety.

Just get a single 256gb. If this is your first SSD, you will only experience the fast loading compared to a mechanical harddrive and be wowed.

If your going to be gaming from the SSD then I will vouch for a single 256.

Does anyone know where to find the performance stats for 2 SSD's on a Raid 0?  I'd be curious what the actual numbers are on this.  I'd been considering going to a 2 SSD raid 0 solution but if the performance difference is minimal I'll skip it and just get a higher capacity SSD later to replace my current one.
