But do we allways have to buy buy something to fix it? ;)

@DonaldGaming: Where does the noise come from? When does it occur? Determine the source of the noise by carefully stopping each fan if you are not sure.

who cares...

Can you identify specifically which parts of the computer are loudest? GPU? PSU? Case fans?

If it's the GPU try lowering the fan speed. If it's the PSU, well, you can't really do much about that. If it's the case fans you can replace them with quieter fans such as NB-eLoops, Noctuas or Gentle Typhoons.

Or put a leash around their neck and whip them until they're silent! Aka use your motherboard's fan control or Programs like Speedfan.

@OP: btw what fans are those? The front ones look like corsair LED, they should be okay quiet once you control them. The rear fan is one of the cheapo corsair OEM fans? That should probably be repalced, but i am getting ahead of myself. Determine the source of the noise first...

who cares...

seriously get some BeQuiet Silentwings at 800RPM's your machine is going to be dead quiet, and if you get rid off the HDD then your rig will be virtually silent

Thanks for all the replies, I realise that determine the source of the noise is very helpful, it seems to be the pretty awful default 2 front LED Fans, 1 Back non led fan, and the 200mm led fan on the pannel.

btw its a 500r not a 600r(non existent xD) sorry bout that.

I considered Noctua as a very good choice, but thought I'd get a second opinion

What's your budget? If you want it cheap, I recommend Bitfenix Spectre.

Not everyone's got money for them.

Where are the fans plugged into? Do you use 12V off the PSU or some headers on the motherboard? Fans are not silent unless you control them right, even noctuas. :P Your motherboard should have some rudimentary fan speed settings in the BIOS which should allow to taim your fans.

Other options are programs like Speedfan. Or a plain hardware fan contrller like the NZXT Sentry 2 or bitfenix recon or for a more elaborate controller the mCubed T-Balancer bigNG (old but gold!).

And then of course there is the option to get better fans. :P i can recommend bequiet silent wings 2. OFC noctuas are great i guess. Bitfenix Spectre Pro for a more budget oriented fan. Nosieblocker eloops, scythe gentle typhoon. blablablaah.

who cares...

Thanks, I currently use my built-in fan controller. Thanks for all the advice :P
