I bent the pins of a Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz processor before. It all started when I got curious as to what the processor looks like. I pulled the heatsink with the CPU still glued to it via thermal paste. I pulled the processor and it slammed on my palm when it let go. I then proceeded to straighten them back with a pen, one pin at a time.

Plugged in my G510 and Razer Blackwidow at same time (Had to get drivers for blackwidow etc.) My blackwidow started flashing on and off mind you this was the most expensive thing in my pc setup and I got it as a gift from a family member. Mini-Heart attack.

Also, spilled sprite or some soda on my blackwidow holy s**t heart a fing attack, ddint work right away de-keyed it left upside down to dry etc. works fine to this day :D

God this keyboard is really really good at scaring the living s**t out of me. Gotta get one thats not gonna do that I think...

even my blackwidow 2012 suffer incompatibility with Synapse 2.0. and I am using Naga 2014 , so i have to uninstall Synapse 2.0 to let my keyboard works :( now my naga is no different with $5 mouse) , only with some extra preset key functions.

Socket 754 + hot summer day.

Room mate and myself watching TV, heard a "CRACK".
Look around; thinking nothing of it.
1-2 minutes later an even louder "POP" followed by smoke - which almost instantly set off my fire alarm, giving both of us a good scare.

The plastic bracket on the 754 socket broke and the heatsink pop'ed loose, causing the CPU to burn a black mark all around the area and blowing several open-top capacitors up.

Worst part about that - was I was strapped for cash at the time and couldn't afford a new computer for almost a year.

I... had...*sniff*... to play console!

Result one destroyed almost new noctua fan *sniff* -.- I was really angry!

Not my PC, but at a LAN party one of my friends spilled his Mountain Dew down the top 200mm exhaust of one of my other friend's PC. The PC was not too happy about it...

I've been to a LAN party before, my first one. My computer's audio drivers took a dump... Spent the first half of the night there trying to resolve the issue... It seems everyone that has a drink next to my computer immediately puts it on top of my case... I instantly move it and tell them to just use the table on the other side of my desk..

Worst PC horror story ever, I bought a Mac.

Just out of curiosity, which Mac (MacBook Air/Pro | Mac Mini | iMac | Mac Pro)? The only Mac I have is a MacBook Air 2012 model. No regrets getting it for myself. :D

I once got frustrated with my phone and just kinda threw it with complete disregard for where.  It ended up bouncing off my laptop and popped off one of the volume keys.  Since they had little plastic-y switches, there was no fixing it and I was stuck just pushing on the actual key membrane from then on.

Not exactly a disaster, but it was stupid to say the least and I did panic for about 2 minutes.

Also, I once went on deployment and forgot to put Steam in offline mode.  That was rough. :|

It was 12.00am at night and I decided to put my computer to sleep and go to bed. Then at 2.59am my PC radomly turned on. It's been happening for weeks now and at the same time!

Probably gonna get my room  sprinkled with Holy Water or something.

Disable Wake-Up on LAN, for the Network Adapter(s) in Device Manager, if this does not fix your problem, it might be Windows Update Scheduled to run at that time

I ran Unigine Valley at max settings 1440p on my 2013 edition Macbook Air. I then left the room to go eat dinner and when I came back I found it turned off and thin smoke coming out. It still worked, but I doubt it will last me much longer :P
