Corsair H110 can't fit 3-pin?

My MAXIMUS VII HERO has a 4-pin right on top of a 3-pin header for CPU Fan. However, there is a piece of plastic that separates the two and my 3-pin header won't fit due to said plastic. Will it work if I plug the 3-pin of the H110 in the 4-pin header?
