.. I have few questions about fan grills.

 

 

1. What are fan grills for?

2. Do they work?

3. Do they make the air more cold if you add grills on both sides of the fan?

4. Are they worth using knowing what are for?..

LOL no they just prevent idiots from sticking their fingers in the fan, and keeping cables/ loose parts out of the way of the spinning blades.

Other than that they are useless.

Are you perhaps mixing  filters and grills? Grills, as said, are just for keeping things from blades and can be used as design thing. Filters keep dust out of fan and case.

Although there are grills like the ones on Silverstone's AP series that is made in a pattern opposite of the way the fan spins to direct the air more. Those actually work. If you're talking about basic grills then those are just to keep things out of the fans. 

My personal rig - 4790k 4.8Ghz, Asus Z97 Pro (wi-fi ac), Corsair Dominator Plat 4x8GB, SLI GTX 1080 TI FE, Samsung 850 Evo 1TB, Crucial MX100 512GB, EVGA G3 1000W, and cooled by a hardline liquid cooling loop.
