ASUS G46VW: Cannot Install OS on SSD

Shaddowwfaxx

Hello. So I recently just got an ASUS G46VW. Its got a HDD in it, so naturally I wanted to get my old 128GB Samsung 840 Series SSD and install Windows on it.However, when I install the drive, it puts me right into the BIOS. Usually a PC says "no OS installed" or something of the sort. So I got a Windows USB drive with Windows 8.1 Pro on it and plugged it in. I couldn't boot off of the USB drive. I made sure I was on the latest BIOS as well. I used this SSD in my personal rig, so I know its working.

Strange thing though, the BIOS detects the drive no problem. Any ideas on what could be wrong?  Thanks!

You need some sort of windows install media as you'll have to reinstall windows. Try reinstalling the Windows ISO on your USB.

Follow this and just use the key on the bottom of your laptop.
