Gpu boss is the last place to go when comparing anything ranging from gpu's to toilet paper softness...

I'd say go with non-reference 290X like the TRI-X from Saphire. THe cost is almost the same as the GTX 780 but it is better. + the more VRAM (wont produce that much heat cuz of the 3 fans and it runs better ). The only thing you will notice diferently between those 2 cards is the Performance in Watch Dogs which was made for Nvidia. But one game is not worth it.
