IPhone users!

cnapier39428

1. Siri's better.

2. Ease of use.

3. Accessibility.

Other than that, Android FTW. Bigger screens, better res, faster hardware, custom roms; so much cool stuff on Android over iPhone.

Sources: My daily driver is a HTC One M8 now, but I've used an iPhone 4 for the past 1½ years.

So from what I can gather its because of siri and the idea that apple's screws and glue are better than the rest...
otherwise its all the same, "usability"-because its easier to press the screen of an iphone

Siri is better than Google Now

It's cleaner and more minimalist

The camera app is very easy to use, you just have some color effects to play around with. If you like that, that's good, personally, I hate it, I love having tons of settings for the camera, just like what Samsung did with the S5 (my upcoming phone :D)

There are more apps and they usually get updated earlier on iOS than on Android.

1) software and hardware uniformity (some people simply do not understand how valuable this actually is)

2) the phones can survive pretty long periods of time without worrying about obsolescence

3) malware and ISP bloatware are practically non-existent

Does what it advertises to do better than anything else I've used.

Best portable music device with a phone and web browser built in.

Massive support for accessories.

Just three random reasons that sit towards the top of my list. If i spent some time I'm sure I could do a "top 3 reasons" but yeh...

Prior to Android L, iOS has the most efficient battery life if you look at battery capacity compared to battery life, iOS is able to deliver similar if not better performance with slower hardware, and apps are just better designed and faster. Android L will change everything I just listed though, so keep that in mind.

iPhone:

- Elegant

- Secure environment

- Easy to use

Android:

- Freedom

- Customizeable

I'd generally say that Android-phones can withstand more punishment than an iPhone. It seems like they break almost instantly. They look nice, but damn, so man are walking around with broken screens on their iPhone.

I'd rather have a phone in plastic that can last instead of an extremely fragile phone.

You might not be able to customize much out of the box, but the jailbreaking community has plenty of customization option for iOS.

Having said that, Apple are allowing devs to enhance and extend the functionality of Apps and iOS in iOS8, so I look forward to seeing that. It's probably one of the biggest things revealed in their recent keynote.

I have experience with Jailbreaking myself, and sacrificing stability (depending on the jailbreak-software used) and user-friendliness basically puts it on the same ground as Android (excluding AppStore-possibilities).

And I'm wondering to which degree they're doing what you stated. Since Android now is a serious threat, I guess it's only natural to allow this.

The days seem to be more or less gone where Jailbreak tweaks cause stability issues. I remember in the iOS 4 days it was fairly common upon initial release, but on the last 2 major iOS updates I have had little to no problems.

The way it was announced seems to suggest you could buy something like a themeing app, which can then modify the UI in other apps. But who knows how far they will let the devs go with it.

Assuming they keep it fairly tight and limited, theres always the option of Jailbreaking. The Apple API's might make it even easier to build tweaks and customization options. Also, with the iPhone exploding in China, the guys out there will find exploits for a Jailbreak in no time.

You guys are crazy. You know you guys are self-destructive. There's a funny farm somewhere and it's got your names written all over it. But I'm gettin' outta here.
