the graphics cards ya they sound like a good idea, idk about preowned though you have to be careful with stuff like that. and i would recommend a bit of a nicer MB

my rule is ya get what ya payed for and with that MB it doesnt look like much so here is a board idk if it meats all your specs and requirements but its a nice board

That motherboard is a neat one and i will consider that cause it will fir my build (bitphonix prodigy <3) Edit: I shall be going for the cheaper mb to save more money for the gpu and also that board you set is not right for my cpu (am3)

The model of the card displayed is asus dc 2 models, very nice coolers. Silent fan profile stock.

Might want to add what are you expecting from your new graphics card. Which games do you wanne play and at what resolution? Because otherwise you might be disappointed with the 7770,7790,7850 or 650,650 ti, 650ti boost,660.

7870 LE, the LE means that it has the tahiti core of the 7950 so its performance is much closer to the 7950 than to the 7870.If you can get this card for 200 dollar or less it is the best bang for buck on performance currently.

AMDs are currently at the top now. With awesome drivers and more amd optimized games, it seems like amd would be at a better value. The 7k series also came before the nvidia 600 series, so you can get high end cards like ,the 7850 for cheap.

When you could get a gtx 660 for cheaper then an hd 7850 it is better for the price.

7870 is already very close to a 7950. There is nothing real boss about Tahiti XT/LE they are just low binned crippled Tahiti cores that did not make the cut and so are price cut and sold as a lower chip.

sapphire 7870xt offer the best bang for the buck above every single card u wanna look at

there are only 3 tahiti LE 7870 cards and the sapphire one is the cheapest that cards almost get the same performance of a 660 ti so what i'm gonna do; because im actually gonna do it is wait till the gtx 7xx comes out check the 660ti & 670 prize and buy the sapphire 7870 xt or the nvidia one

They are pretty price comparable with the HD 7850 being a bit cheaper. Plus on the AMD card you get 3x AAA games so ...

True but on scan the gtx 660 comes with 2 games. A bit weird as it is supposed to come with 1 free game but it does increase value.

Last I checked nvidia came with Metro Last light and that's all. It was probably in game credits to old free to play games that they counted as an actual game LOL.

thanks again and to reply to

Ribozyme

I shall consider that card and also i am mainly wanting to run new ish games (bf3 minecraft killing floor) ad like 1080p res at something like medium gfx

Hmm bf3 definitely is the most graphics hungry of those games. You have to decide for yourself how much you are willing to spend but if you wanne play bf4 at medium this fall I think the stronger card the better. 7870 le at 200 bucks or less is my advice, it really is the king of price/performance right now. Let us know what you've bought when you do.

I don't trust a picture from a second rate European Etailer. nvidia cards come with one game being "Metro LL" officially and that's all.

Second rate? Scan is one of the best and most reliable UK / European retailers out there. Not quite sure where you get the impression they are, at any stretch of the imagination, "second rate". If it says it comes with 2 free games - then it comes with 2 free games.
