1080p YouTube on android devices

Kingofpants

First, keep this discusion to people with 1080p phones. Sorry Apple guys.

So when I was watching a video some guy claims that 720p is the limit on androids, even with 1080p devices.

So lets say you watch Linus newest video, do you see this option in the dropdowns?

I'm asking this for a very peculiur reason. (Which I will reveal later).

Depend I doubt my HTC One X is compliant but I'll try it. Quite a lot of mobile data is gonna get eaten up for 1080p content on any smartphone.

Please become a member of the Linus Tech Tips forum, keep writing smug remarks & let us love you. Peace out.

Still 1080p option existed on iPhone or iPad. Its cool cos I've been using 1080p on my 2048x1536 display for a long time.
