Okay.. My old pc started to freeze at random times and making noise when it happens, so i upgraded half of my pc and reinstalled windows.. kept happening.. I upgraded the rest (including HDD) and installed win 8.1, but this shit is still happening.. The only consistent is that, either skype, Google Chrome or both is open when it happens.. It can happen at any intensity level and at any time of the day or night..

This is a video of how it looks, and the sound it makes when it happens

https://www.dropbox.com/s/0nv2bzu1yzydoqh/2014-06-30%2015.42.30.mp4

All the parts are upgraded since it started..

Thanks..

I've got new mobo, PSU and ram..

There was a power surge error on my PSU and i got a new one, so i've tried with 3 PSU's..

I changed my mobo when i got a new CPU..

The ram is all new too, and is pluged to slot 1 and 3 .. (from left) on a Asus P8-Z77 LK

Well, yeah.. I update my drivers regularly.. I've updated my Mobo drivers a month ago or something.. my gpu yesterday.. What other drivers could cause problems? Windows doesn't have any to update..

my rooms temp is max 26 C, and my pc gets to 80 at 100% and is normally not more than 65 degrees C.

This is jsut funky. What anti-virus are you using.

It makes almost no sense other than maybe some of your software causes issues or you have a malwayre/virus infection. It's basically a different computer is my understanding so I honestly don't see how the same issue is occuring other that the idea listed above.

Try running a scan with malwarebytes, it normally finds stuff anti-virus programs don't. I would also try there root kid program which is also free through thier site.

As for anti-virus it self I use Avast and have had no problems. I would give those a try and see what results show up, all of the programs are free.

Running Malwarebytes now.. The stuff it detects is things like CGMiner, games for my ps1 emulator and installation files for my fan controller.. :/

*Edit*

Oh, never mind.. It didn't find any malware, but Avast found one thing, i deleted.. We'll see if it helps.. Otherwise im gonna re-install windows again, and pay close attention to when this shit start happening..

Are you using any pirated software? I always have to ask this question whenever I come across problems like these. Normally on a lockup like that, It would be attributed to a sound card, but not this time.

Phanteks Enthoo Pro Black | Corsair TX750v2 | ASRock Z97 Extreme4 | Core i5 4670K @ 4.4 GHz @ 1.27V | Corsair H105 | 16GB Patriot Viper 3 PC3-12800 | EVGA GeForce GTX 770 | Axiom Signature III 240GB SSD | WDC 1TB Blue | Hitachi 750GB

Maybe one or two have snuck in-there sometime ;)

I would unsneak those, some tend to have things hidden inside them.

Guys.. please :(

Please post full computer specs and and operating temps of the CPU and GPU... It might help the community get some answers...

Right now, I think it has something to do with the graphics card or RAM because I occasionally run into the same situation... After replacing my PSU, the problems happened less often... I was using a generic 700W PSU before...

Try cleaning out the system if it's dusty and use a rubber eraser to clear out corrosion on the contacts of the RAM and graphics card... It might also help...

Is that noise from the speakers or something inside your case?

Also what hardware has not been changed out? Which pieces are new and which are reused/old?
