Windows 8.1 has Microsoft security installed by default, on the OS.. And i've downloaded Avast on the side

Yeah I know, that's why I'm asking: not running both? Does Win8 disable it's own anti-virus by default if you install another anti-virusprogram?

Currently working on a Watercooled Corsair Obsidian 350D (clicky)

Not sure if its possible but run DxDiag and save the file and upload or copy and paste it in.  In windows 7 you go to start and just type DxDiag.

Also use Hardware monitor and check the temps and voltages etc, and try uploading a img of it.

Giving your Dxdiag log will show more than just your PC specs. Try doing a clean boot, and using the clean boot for a few days or so and see if it still crashes.

to do a clean boot:

  1. open Msconfig.exe (just type msconfig at start menu)
  2. Select Normal Start up
  3. Select Services and then Tick  "Hide all Microsoft Services"
  4. Then Disable All.
  5. Click Start up tab and Disable all.

Once you've done that reboot. You can slowly re add your start up programs to see if any are conflicting and making games crash.

Similarly with services.

3770k @ stock w/ stock cooler

MSI 670 reference cooler @ stock

Kingstopn HyperX 2x8 GB 2400 MHz (Runs @ 1600 MHz)

Corsair TX 650

WD Black 2TB

Asus p8Z77-LK

Some old wireless card

Just cleaned the system for dust..

I had forgot about the wireless card.. It sat in my old system too! Ill try to remove it, and see if it helps..

Sorry for the late reply... My internet connection went dead...

I reviewed the video and remembered a few times my system did the same to me... From my standpoint, it looks like a GPU issue...

Try running "chkdsk C: /R" to check for drive errors, then completely reinstall your video card drivers. Use the version right before the latest version and stress test the system. Update to the latest drivers if it works fine and test it again.

If all goes well, you might encounter this a bit less often...
