do i need a screen guard

You don't NEED one, but having one could help prevent scratches and such

If you drop your device a lot then sure. If you don't then you may not need one

It being touch does not change that fact that it may get scratched.

Can't stand the bubbles, so I don't use one. My old phone's screen has no noticeable scratches and I've dropped it multiple times.

if put on correctly there isnt supposed to be bubbles.

I'm sure you're right, but I've never had any luck in NOT having bubbles. As I said, though, never scratched the screen. Kind of superfluous, if you ask me.

kinda depends on screen quality, if it has a plastic screen it will get scratched by dust and bad cheap glass screens are about the same.

It's a Nexus 5. Never had an issue with the little guy, but I moved onto the M8 for purely aesthetic reasons. Yet to scratch this one either.
