Hello peoples, I am going to be building my first gaming build soon. I will be using this for 1080p, 60Hz gaming as well as general use and maybe some streaming and/or recording. My budget is around $1300 and I plan on overclocking. This is what my current setup looks like:

CPU: AMD FX-8320

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S

Motherboard: Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 ATX

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB DDR3-1600MHz

SSD: Corsair Force LX 256GB(if it is released by then) or Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB

HDD: WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200RPM

GPU: MSI Radeon R9 270X 2GB Gaming

PSU: Corsair RM650W ATX12V/EPS12V

Case: Corsair 450D ATX Mid Tower

Edit: Another thing I forgot to add was a monitor. Currently I picked out a 22" 1080p, 60Hz IPS panel for $140, however TN panels I suppose are good enough for me.

All parts picked using pcpartspicker and it comes out to about $1250.

I understand there is some hate towards AMD from some people(especially for the 3-year old FX line), but this is budget and I want to overclock, so the next step up is the i5-4690k and that is about $120, more depending on where you look, and the price of the motherboard is more as well(not sure how much exactly, but I'm guessing at least $50). If any of you have any suggestions, questions, or anything, let me know!

:P I'm a Nvidia fan myself but AMD is ok too, I just did a full AMD build for a friend of mine anyway. But your build look really weak for that budget, is that 1300 USD?

As for the SSD, go with a 120GB SSD instead of a 250+GB if you are on budget and gaming only, you probably wont be installing games on an SSD and do so dont really have much of an effect anyway.

$1300 CAD, the Corsair 256GB LX is $130(previously cheaper than the HyperX 120GB but now it's more expensive). From reviews and other things I have seen, the 270X is great at 1080p for 60FPS and the 8320 overclocked is more than enough. If you have a better setup in mind, feel free to tell me, any suggestions are good.

Well it do go over alittle but, so you might want to get a 770 or R9 290 instead, the case I choose a random one, you may change to anything you like

WOW that is a pretty excellent build for that price! This is my fault, but I forgot the monitor I chose in the list above, however  I could pick out a cheaper CPU cooler and cheaper SSD to cover the cost of that. This is very helpful!

That is a crazy build for the money as well! Now I have a few more choices to make... Thanks! Also, I was a little wary at first about the fact that the i5 does not have Hyper-Threading, and that it might make doing general tasks slower(I keep a lot of windows open and a lot of tabs up)

Nope~ Hyperthreading wont give you much benefit for those kind of stuff (tabs and windows mainly concern Ram anyway), Hyperthreading of the i7 will give you better performance on stuff like video rendering, 3D modeling, that kind of thing, so you dont really need it unless your work concern heavy use of PTS, 3D model tools etc.
