So im planning a new gaming pc build and it is going to be a while because i have to save up about 1250 bucks, build is in sig, but anyway and i just remembered the Broadwell is coming out in a while and by the time that gets out, ill probably have almost enough money for it and im wondering which i should get, Devils Canyon or Broadwell? Is it worth it?

How much will it be and how will it perform? (estimate)

If i get DC i will get the i7 4790K..... Give me your honest opinion.

Thanks

In this fast outdated world of PC hardware asking whether to upgrade now or later is like asking should I buy petrol (gasoline) today or tomorrow.

If you've got the money to upgrade now, I'd do it.

From what I understand Broadwell will be 1150 anyway, cheaper to upgrade just a CPU that the whole kit.

I know people who are still rocking a Q6600, and like Linus's video said Intel listen to the Enthusiasts with the devils canyon CPU..  :D

I know what you guys mean, but I don't have the money to purchase DC now, so by the time I do, broadwell will probably be out and I am faced with a tough choice.

I am thorn between that choice  to. But I think I prefeer buying the new Canyon than waiting for Broadwell. For what I read there is not going to be much difference between the two except for the power eficiency. Broadwell will be used in smarthpones, tablets and etc. Plus, when Broadwell comes it will be EXPENSIVE as hell, as all newgen things are. If you are buying Z97 board I think if you find that much difference between Canyon and Broadwell you'd be able to upgrade.
