When I first built my PC a LONG time ago, I had a friend build it, and now, I've rebuilt it many times, adding stuff, but recently, my current motherboard has problems, and I'm returning it.

I don't know whether the backplate part for mounting of the CPU cooler comes with the CPU cooler, or motherboard... It comes with the CPU cooler right?

WARNING, SORRY FOR STUPID QUESTION.

comes with cooler

For AMD mounting the backplate comes with the motherboard. The cooler can include a blackplate though.

Most mounting solutions make use of the stock AMD mounts/backplate.

this is a somewhat stupid question because we can't really answer it correctly (especially with the given information) and you could have found this out yourself without that much difficulty. Asking this question was probably as difficult as finding out, and us figuring this out is more difficult.

TIL this, I've built billions of intel systems and this was never the case, had no idea the red side had this situation. GG

Seems to depend on the age of the board. My old Intel boards came with them, but most nowadays come with the coolers.
