Hello People!

So I have a Intel I5 3570K, which is running at 4 GHZ. I use it for playing games like Arma 3, Arma 2, Batttlefield 4, Battlefield 3, GTA 5 (When it comes out) and some rendering in Sony vegas 12. And was wondering if it would be worth overclocking it any more, and if so what speed ect. Also my CPU cooler is the Cooler master seidon 120V.

Thanks.

it all depends on the quality of the chip you have, most 3570K find sweet spot (the wall) around 4.2 to 4.4GHZ, chances are somewhere past that point you'll have to start kickin more and more and more volts exponantialy to remain stable unless you have a very good chip, you defenetly have the proper cooling to allow for better overclocks but keep in mind that it may reduce the lifespan of your CPU if you run it to it's limits all the time.

But i would say you could probably easily and safely aim for 4.2 to 4.4GHZ 24/7, ARMA will love this boost. I would defenetly mess with overclocking it some more if i where you and have some time to spare on it...it's worth it..maybe your CPU won't hold anything stable at more than 4.2GHZ, but if you're lucky your CPU migh hold 4.5GHZ without too much of a voltage bump making all this free and worthy, it's up to you but i would kick it some more.

I wouldn't really go further with a 120MM rad if it's already at 4Ghz. it could work out a few mhz more but isn't really worth the hassle in my opinion.

You can usually get 4ghz without even touching the voltages, so even a stock cooler would do. He can easily push it a bit further (assuming he doesn't have a completely crappy CPU), 4.2-4.5ghz should be doable.

Try 1.275V @4.1 Ghz!

Better watch your temperatures though.

I have the voltage set to 1.150 and its stable so far, the temps in Prime 95 go up to 67 c MAX.

Try to push to 4.1 Ghz at the same voltage then.

Ok will do!
