So I'm updating my gaming rig and I've been looking at 3 different GPUs, I'd really appreciate some advice on which one is the best or pros and cons of them.

Sapphire Radeon TRI-X R9 290 4GB "OC" ($520)

I would probably pick the Windforce because that's a pretty effective and quiet cooler. That's just my preference though.

I think Sapphire makes the best version in terms of performance, cooling and quietness. Do you mean the Vapor X with the last one? If so, that one.

I would just get the cheapest one from a reputable manufacturer with an aftermarket cooler, except for Asus. MSI TF, Gigabyte Windforce, Powercolor, Sapphire, HIS has some good reviews.

Out of those three, even if it is reference, I would pick the 290x. I would prefer more GPU power over better temperatures. Hawaii GPUs do get pretty hot. If you don't want to live with 90c+ in your case I would choose Windforce.

What is with the prices? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvr929oc4gd that is 100$ cheaper

I live in Sweden where taxes are pretty crazy, don't know if it could get cheaper if I bought it from Amazon or I would just get to pay the extra taxes anyway.

I'd vote for the TRI-X as it's cool and very quiet. However, if you really want a 290x for a bit more performance  you could go with that one then get Kraken G10 or the upcoming HG10 from Corsair that is much better than the Kraken G10. I have a reference 290 running on a custom fan profile. while playing bf4, it runs at ~87 C with 77% fan speed. Mind you my ambient temps are 26 C. And I forgot to mention how loud it is, I can hear my gpu when I'm 40' away in my kitchen. Thank god for headphones.

In a nutshell, get the TRI-X as it's the fastest running 290 of those listed (doubters can look at some benchmarks). IF you're going to water cool, get that reference 290x.
