Oh pft, EASILY the "secret" $30 a month prepaid T-Mobile plan.

You get 100 minutes for talking (could use 3rd party apps to get unlimited calling, but with a different phone number), unlimited texting, and 5GB of 4G/LTE data and unlimited 2G speeds after that.

This is a "secret" plan because it's not available regularly, nor is it advertised on TMo's website. You have to buy it through WalMart.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/T-Mobile-Micro-SIM-Activation-Kit/24099996

That comes with the micro-SIM card and 30 days of usage.

Yes, you have to order it online through WalMart. That's the only way to get this plan.

As a side note, I've been using this same plan for a few months now, and it's great. I don't really call anybody, so I never run out of minutes. I more so text and am a fairly heavy data user.

Oh, and make sure that your phone is unlocked and is compatible with T-Mobile's radio frequencies.

Thanks for your help so far, however I just want to be able to go and buy the SIM and put it in phone, not have to order or wait for a SIM to arrive.

I've heard these month to month T Mobile plans are the way to go, is this right? http://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone-plans/individual.html

Ya. TMo's base plans are already pretty good. Either way, you'll be happy with what you get.
