My teacher is looking for a cheap copy of Office student 2013. Our plan is to buy one disc, then just buy separate keys per license. Any clue where we can get a cheap copy of the disc? And if you guys know where we can get cheap keys(places like reddit I guess, I've never used it.) that would be awesome too.

Schools have contracts to get this stuff for free to the teachers...

Why don't you just talk to administration?

You can get the install kit straight from Microsoft's site . You download the full version as a trial and you have the option to enter an activation key after that . As for cheap keys .. i dono .. they'r pretty affordable if you'r a student . Also they have Office Online now that you can use for free. Only it's strictly online and it's a little downgraded but it's very handy . I use it sometimes and it's pretty handy.

No, my teacher is weird and is demanding a disc...I tried to tell him optical media is dying but he refuses to accept it. I'll keep that in mind though

You can't 'buy' the discs per say, you buy the key and then that would come with a disc (if you buy from a physical shop or online shop) or if you buy it from Microsoft's store then they email you the key and you download the .exe to install. The price will be about the same for both.

So you have 2 options, 1. go to a shop and buy a copy which will come with a disk, then you can buy more licence keys from Microsoft ect. for most likely the same or more price as the shop bought copy, or you could just buy all the Keys online from somewhere like Microsoft and then just download the .exe burn it to a disc to give him.

But because he is a teacher he should have provisions to get it cheaper by some method, you don't mention what country you are in, but most likely he needs to provide proof he is a teacher to someone and buy it.  You also don't say if this is for him personally or for school machines, if it is for him personally then what I've written should be true, if it's for the school then he shouldn't be buying Office it should be provided by the relevant people under licence (depending what country it is).

Chances are the cheapest way to do it will be to go to a store or at Amazon ect. and just buy as many copies as you need, see if there are any discount vouchers available, Office 365 is likely not an option if it's to be shared and is not personal.
