Extreme Watercooling

I've looked this up quite a few times, and it may seem like a stupid question, so I've come here to see if it's maybe possible: can you build a PC inside a mini fridge?

You can. But you will run into issues such as condensation, that will fry all the parts of the PC.

But is there a way to do it safely

And if there is, I want to see Linus do it!

No, plus you'll end up heating up the fridge.

There's go to be a safe way of doing it, it may not be pratical, but there has to be

Its not putting the PC inside the fridge, but putting the fridge inside the PC!

your best bet would be a freezer and you would have to run antifreeze.  It would be your rads that would go into the freezer not your pc.  You can have all the condensation you want on them.  But the pelltier coolers that are used to cool the fridge and freezer down are not enough to counter the heat of a pc in a sealed area like that.  So big rads for reservoir and you will be able to keep the liquid cooler longer.

In another thought you really wouldnt get that much of a temperature drop and eventually you will catch up to ambient temps.  The setup you would need to get long game time out of would have to be pretty big.  You would be just as well to do a custom loop.

You could also do a thermal electric setup (Just the peltier cooler)  You would have to worry about condensation and whatnot.  I have seen videos where people just apply vaseline to the mobo and heat it with a hair dryer to cure dry and seal it.  I can imagine you would want to only have your temp just below actual freezing to minimize condensation.  Better them room temp tho.

I've seen them put the rads inside the freezer...but, couldn't you slobber the whole PC in that protective gelotin that protects the comp from the liquid nitrogen?

At some point this stuff isn't practical or even useful. Sure throw Vaseline on everything, heat up your fridge and use more power. What you're getting is slightly better, more expensive and hassle full version of water cooling. Water cooling is really enough for the hardcore, everyday user while ln2 and phase change is for the crazies and professional overclockers. It's best to throw a custom loop in a be happy.

Well, hey man. If Linus can put SLI and Crossfire in one computer, why not put a whole one in a refrigerator

He won't do it, because it is hard, seriously impractical and not worth his time. Just like the oil PC, we would all love to see it although we all know how to do it. But it isn't worth it from his point of view.
