I use both (and ad aware), so i will suggest getting both. Avast is great but for some malware you need malwarebytes (found 2 which avast didn't find) [and ad aware for idk....ads?]

but see, whenever I get a notification from avast saying: "harmful file detected" or whatever, it never gives me the option to delete it or stop it etc. does it do that automatically?

I use Malwarebytes, AVG, Microsoft security essentials and Adaware (also McAfee but we don't talk about that). I believe it deletes them automatically, or at least puts them into quarantine.

use both, and yes it gets rid of it automatically or at least quarantines it depending on the setting, by default I believe it deletes it (else I changed a bunch of crap again)

Both, Malwarebytes is better than anything I've used however.

Personally, I'll keep both. What I use is a bit different personally. I use MSE for an anti-virus. Then Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner for Malware and Adware.

Malwarebytes erhday.

Alright thanks very much for your help guys, :P

1 last question, malwarebytes gives me 3 options when it finds potential threats: quarantine, add exclusion, ignore once. Which one should I choose?? because none of them sounds like it will delete them which I think is what I want.

Yes, Malwarebytes automatically takes care of anything it detects. It also notifies you for example when a program is using uncharacteristically more processing power or RAM than usual. I have a Northon Antivirus + Malwarebytes Pro 'security net' on my computer. This combo blocks pretty much everything.
