Radiator vs Resivoir thing lol?

Go to solution Solved by AlwaysFSX,

The radiator is the thing that distrubutes the water to be cooled and a resivour holds the water? i dont really know what a resivour does lol.

A reservoir just holds the water.

dont radiators hold enough water???

And if you need to add another water block onto something? You'll have to fill your loop up. How are you going to do that? Tip your case upside down and fill through the rad?

Hey guys what is the difference between radiators.... and tube resivoirs??? What do they do differently for your cpu??

Its all looks these days

Radiator allows the liquid flowing through it to be cooled by air flowing through it while the reservoir simply holds the liquid as it moves throughout your loop.

Yea as AlwaysFSX says you do not need a reservoir but it makes life a lot easier for filling/bleeding/draining your loop if you have one.

I think another reason for reservoirs is to hold extra water, because water can evaporate through the tubes over time.

These pumps are also not made to be running without water, and they will very quickly burn themselves out if they are turned on without pushing any liquid.
