Well, I have played GTA IV on 1080p and ULTRA settings without any issues. No patches has been used.

Guys it won't run like GTA IV.

Did you all forget Max Payne 3 because that's the engine GTA V uses.

It will run similar to Max Payne 3 and that was a good port.

It was. I just have installed Max Payne today. It works just fine, love the game.

Yes but that wasn't the reason GTA IV ran like crap the hole engine was just a complete mess.

GTA IV came out in the time where devs still had struggles to change from DX8 to DX9 and you can see that extremely well in GTA IV.

It ran like crap even on ps3/xbox360.

It's basically the same as next gen consoles, so I expect the requirements either won't be that high OR will be Max Payne 3 high. Hopefully the latter!!!

I found it easy to play on intel/nvidia systems. But if you have an AMD CPU or GPU then performance is shit. That's just from my experience though. I hope they do a better job of GTA V.

it runs bad on my i7 2600 + 660 ti setup as well, both amd and intel struggle with it.

Not true. I played the game using FX-6300 and R7 260X and it runs perfectly in 1080p and ULTRA settings.

50-60 FPS.

I don't believe that. I used to play GTA IV on High Preset 1080p with my old HD 6970 and got consistent 40FPS. Now with my ROG MARS I get well over 75 FPS, with only some occasional dips to 50FPS.

im not sure what im doing wrong, ive never gone above 45fps on that game, i reduce the settings, no shadows, no lighting effects, destroy the draw distance bar and still plays like hell.

What patches are you using. Are you using the latest one and is your game pirated. The pirated version runs considerably worse, because of the bad cracks, which thy use.
