Need Cheap GPU

Long story short, I recently discovered that my father's issue with his PC (handed down from me) was that his fan on his 9600GT had stopped, turning the GPU off abruptly making it appear WIndows was stuck in sleep mode. Anyway, he needs a new GPU for simple MS Officer task (spreadsheets) and web browsing.

 

System specs:

 

Win 7 64 bit

Asus P5N-E SLI (LGA 775)

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (OC to 2.8 GHz / Watercooled)

4 gig DDR2 800 RAM

 

Any suggestions? He needs something cheap ($30-$50)... Thx!

AMD R5 or GeForce GT 740 should be decent enough at a low price

 

EDIT: Or even a GT 630, I have one which handled games OK and pretty damn cheap

woudnt it be more worth it to just get a new CPU? one with a apu on it aswell, since all he needs is a picture on the screen, and a better CPU would help with everything else

pretty sure that would mean a new motherboard as well because that mobo dosen't have an integrated GPU.

proud owner of alienware 13 with graphic amplifier and also a alienware X51 gaming PC!!! really powerfulL!!

Got two 550ti's sitting around. one pny the other asus, 1gb versions. In case your still looking.
