LN the a more militarised version. It has additional weapon hardpoints, and comes standard with a better loadout than the MR.

I would recommend the LN myself. It's a better starting ship.

remember you wont be able to fly the LN right away not until they start releaseing other ships into AC

Yeah... I'm employed as a Process Engineer (think Chemical Engineer meets Production Line Operator), but I'm going back to school for my masters in Mechanical Engineering in August. Since that means I can't work for a year or two... I really need to save money and not throw it around.

Edit: As is the PB279Q IPS 4K. I don't think I can resist that. I'm just hoping to postpone that until the 390(X) or 880 (TI) come out... I'll go NVidia if they actually get more VRAM and a larger memory bus.

I'd go LN especially if its for AC, its pretty much the same thing but better armed, with more thrusters and an extra shield location.

 

Personally I got the LX though because I wanted it for more of a cruising ship being it comes stock with a jump drive and doesn't have the engine covering the top bed window like on the LN (a very important yet commonly overlooked detail IMO ;P).
