Hey guys, basically I'm 14(Secondary 2) now and my parents are divorcing, I will be living with my mother but she is going to marry someone else and we live in Singapore but my soon-to-be stepfather is a US citizen and my mother is going to work there and my brother wants to pursue an arts course in Parsons The New School Of Design. I can choose to live in Singapore or move to San Francisco about this year or next. Should I immigrate there I really don't want to because its going to be a massive change of environment and I use the British education system so studying is going to be a challenge and I have never been there before.. My current decision is to stay in Singapore but I want to know what do you guys think especially if you live in San Francisco.

I would choose Singapore over the US.

There is none of the degenerate culture that the US has, and my experience of asian people is that they are so much more respectful than those from the west.

Why not try both and stay at the one you liek the most?

Tough one for us to answer

Honestly it is YOUR life, you should do what you think is best. Your education is extremely important as is your comfort and happiness

I have always wanted to live in the US, I have no way of doing it though. But I would not move at the expense of my quality of life.

Perhaps stay in Singapore until you are older and move later when things are not on the line

If you really like life in Singapore and you are not worried about living alone/away from your family, then I think you should stay there. However it is your mother, so it's really up to you to decide wether staying with her is more important to you than living where you like.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Yeah I think this is the best answer, thanks. I have a 2 months holiday coming at the end of the year, maybe I can live there for a while and experience it. If I like it I'll move there if not I'll continue to live in Singapore and when I finish my 'A' Levels, I can pursue what ever tertiary education I want in the US. Oh well, I have half a year to think about it so no rush.

Screwed bothways, heard you cant do somethings simple like spit on the floor you get fined or worse jailed & several other things like that , US has a fucked up diversity , don't expect everyone to be "Jolly" as hollywood portrais it (EVER). Well, it depends who you like the most , no matter whever you go , if you find yourself staying with someone who won't care about you, not now ,as days pass by , Probably you have an old experience with them who showed you that you're worth their time. That's your key i guess..

Details separate people.
