If i put my monitor on my xbox 360, would it damage it.

So im trying to clean up my setup and i think that if i put my monitor on my xbox it would be better, i dont want to damage my 360 so do you think it could handle my 10 pound monitor on it

I wouldn't do it. The case could warp/collapse. 

Just have the Xbox vertically next to the monitor and it won't take up much space.

Try it... If when you put it on, it's flexing, don't. Otherwise I'd probably go for it.

I wouldn't recommend to do that, I've had 3 Xbox 360 discs scratched up because the system was vertical.

Really? I used to have mine like that and it was just fine. 

The biggest risk that I see is bumping the desk and the xbox falling over.

i just tested and there seems to be next to no flex, i think its cause the monitor is on a big stand

Nah, I've fixed a few for friends and they have six or so screws going from the bottom chassis to the top plastic and the plastic sits on the chassis so it should be completely fine.

If the stand is wide enough to spread you from edge to edge on the XBOX lengthwise, it's should be fine. The edges would give the most support for the machine. Otherwise I still wouldn't do it. Damage is more likely to be done over time, even with no immediately visible effects. Setting it up verticle should be fine, as they are somewhat made to be either vertical or horizontal.

it goes about half way, im going to leave it overnight then see if it will fit in my setup better tomorrow
