Posted June 10, 2014 So i just bought a brand new 16GB SanDisk CruZer USB drive and when i got home and plugged it in to my PC it says: "you need to format the disk in E: before you can use it." so then i tried formatting and it says my drive is only 14.9GB what?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? so i got really disappointed but i still tried to format it. Format: 14.9GB FAT32(default) 8192 bytes allocation unit size i unticked quick format because there isnt any data on it but later i also ticked it but all the times i tried to format it it just says: windows was unable to complete the format.
