I'm in need of some people with knowledge in building computers... I'm looking to create a second '' test build '' for gaming with i7-4770K or i7-4930K with Corsair Air 540 PC Case including a GTX 780 Ti . . . I'm planning future builds and will decide in the end what I want between what I've done so far.

I'm looking for a black and white design such as this one: http://pcpartpicker.com/b/DCQ7YJ

My maximum budget is $2000 CAD. Please use http://ca.pcpartpicker.com !

The only components missing are:

-Motherboard

-Memory

-HDD & SSD (Most likely will be Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB and Samsung 840 EVO 120GB)

-PSU (80+ Gold @750Watts)

-CPU Cooler

I also have to mention that the case has 3 fans so the motherboard will need 3 fan headers!

Please make sure that they are good components that will have durability, quality and performance...

Please make sure that all the components will work and fit according to the motherboard and case, etc that you chose!

If there is space for case fans, feel free to! Just make sure that everything will fit.

IMPORTANT: I'm planning to play games such as Planetside 2, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty series, Crysis Series, ArcheAge, WildStar, FarCry Series, Ghost Recon Phantoms and a few other games.

Thanks in advance!

yes questions what is this build use for?

purely gaming?

do you intend to SLi later coz you request for a 750W PSU

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

I knew that I forgot to add something! Yes, it is for gaming! I'm planning to play games such as Planetside 2, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty series, Crysis Series, ArcheAge, WildStar, FarCry Series, Ghost Recon Phantoms and a few other games.

No, I do not need SLi... I will be adding a second GPU in the future but it will not be a second GTX 780 Ti !

In that case, a 4770k and 4930K ARE UNEEDED.

A bit over, but it has SLI which will give amazing performance, especially against a 780ti

ps* i can make a $2000 almost on the dot, or less, just ask.

BTW, the 780'S ARE stock cooler, I'd like someone to verify if they would be fine, as they are the only simple/whiteish coolers that the 780 offers.
Are these stock coolers going to not overheat when in the H440 with the CPU cooler?

Just as a warning, you can't SLI a 780TI with a  780 or something. You're probably thinking about SLI'NG and 800 series card anyway, just a waring :P

Also forgot to mention this... I will be playing with a XL2420TE 24 inch from BenQ.

Thanks for the build Shd0w2 !

Sadly, I want to use a Corsair Air 540 for my case... It's the most appealing case that I have seen so far... I know I'm really demanding but with this damn OCD I want everything to be perfect for my taste

Yes, I'm aware of that... Unless the 780 / 780 Ti becomes really cheap in the future, I will not be doing SLi but simply adding a 700 series (770 under) along with the 780 Ti.

I don't want to take the risk to paint them...

Here's what I found:  http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/motherboard/?compatible_with=corsair-case-cc9011048ww#R=5,4&C=6,12,14,20,21,46&sort=d5&f=2&qq=1&s=24

They're mostly black and white... Not really sure which one is best.

I don't understand this. you are adding that 770 for?

Because I already have a spare 770 that I've never used nor even opened the box... I could sell it and SLi 780 but you know... There's those times that you're lazy.

bbqsauce is right

SLi will only work only if both cards are the exact same series and same amount of VRAM

so GTX770 2GB and GTX770 2GB will work

but not GTX770 4GB with 2GB GTX770

or GTX770 and GTX780 will not work

I was told that I could use a 770 along with my 780 Ti if I wanted to... Oh well?

who told you this lol. you can only sli among cards with the same core. ie 780ti with 780ti or 770 with 770

Also, here's a list of motherboards that have the colors that I'm looking for:  http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/motherboard/?compatible_with=corsair-case-cc9011048ww#R=5,4&C=6,12,14,20,21,46&sort=d5&f=2&qq=1&s=24

I'm just not sure which one is best in 2014.
