not really it has been tested before by one user here with the 760s one was 4GB the other was 2GB, both cards were detected but the SLi option was not avaliable

I see, i was under the impression it would work.

thanks for the insight

What do you guys suggest then? One 780 Ti or two 770 SLi? ( Even tho, I don't even know how SLi works )

Also, here's a list of motherboards that have the colors that I'm looking for:  http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/motherboard/?compatible_with=corsair-case-cc9011048ww#R=5,4&C=6,12,14,20,21,46&sort=d5&f=2&qq=1&s=24

I'm just not sure which one is best in 2014.

if you have the budget, sell your 770 and get a 780ti.

Do you mind linking me the Galaxy HOF? 780 Ti is more than fine... I will be adding a 700 Series in the future (770 or under)

Its damn expensive

like bbq say go single 780Ti

its more than enough to drive one 1440P monitor

here was the tread where the 760 SLi mode failed with with one 2GB and 4GB

http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/136964-not-allowing-2-gtx-760s-to-work-in-sli/page-2

we did the swap the 2GB card as master and 4GB as slave GPU didn't help

thanks nVidia...

AMD X-Fire just works better

if you have the budget, sell your 770 and get a 780ti.

Well, maximum budget has to be $2000 no matter what...

I already have a 770 and I do not have a 780 Ti . . .

I just don't know; does two 770 SLi exceed a 780 Ti? I would expect so with 4GB instead of 3GB but it consumes more so the question is, is 3 case fans and the fans from the GPU's and CPU enough?

Is 750 Watts PSU enough? Should I get 850 Watts PSU?

if you really want to sli in the future, get the 850w otherwise 750 is more than enough for one 780ti

the 780ti won't have consistency issues and you have the option to sli if you really really need the power later on.

it's the better option considering your budget

well performance wise the GTX770 SLi will outperform the 780Ti but you will have teething issues with newer games which do not support SLi so you many only be able to run only single card

750 Watts is fine for two GTX770s you don't need 850Watts unless you are trying to do OC with dual 780Ti

ok with dual 780Ti you are pulling 700 watts at least without OC

with OC you will be looking at least 800+ watts

if i swapped them for GTX770 SLi its drawing 660 watts with OC you will need only 750Watts

I will still suggest sticking to one single 780Ti and then SLi later but get the 850 Watts PSU first

and with a powerful GPU you can invest on a better monitor

Okay, gotcha... I will just use one GTX 780 Ti, then...

I will overclock but it's going to be a really small one because I'm not an expert... I barely know anything about it but I will be learning as much as I can... I don't want to fry my GPU under a year.

Coming back to the build itself...

http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/hxPVGX

I'm not too sure about the motherboard and the CPU Cooler yet...

I'm hesitating between those two CPU Coolers: Either CM Hyper 212 Evo or the NZXT HAVIK 140

Here's a list of motherboards that fit the colors that I'm looking for: http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/motherboard/?compatible_with=corsair-case-cc9011048ww#R=5,4&C=6,12,14,20,21,46&sort=d5&f=2&qq=1&s=24

Hahah, no! I'm totally not in a rush... I won't have the budget for several months (6months +)

I'm just learning about all of this stuff including building one and stuff right now...

I'm planning my future Gaming PC and I will save all the informations on USB Keys once I'm ready in the future... At that time, I will make changes according to what has came out recently and if anything could fit the Gaming rig that I'm looking for

Man, that Sabranco looks f*cking fantastic! http://hexus.net/media/uploaded/2014/6/9055ade3-236f-45dd-bda6-3ca43e5703c0.jpg

I wish I had that exact same design. ( The case and everything )  :(

in that case If you choose the Sabranco, you won't regret it look at the picture of the mobo in my original post above

your build can be nickname White Tiger with that mobo since it got a chinese name at the bottom of the board armor

the casing is the Cosmos II but you can pain your Air 540 with tiger stripes or Snow warfare camo paint

Hahah, that's exactly the problem... I can't even paint a tree properly... I wish I could paint those stripes man... You don't even know  :(

Even if I tried to, with my OCD I'd just end up smashing everything around me. Hahahah !

yea best leave it to experts to paint casings

you should be able to find case modders fairly easily

and a head ups they don't accept jobs for cheap

Meh, for a case like that I don't expect an exagerated amount of money... I don't even know where to find one in the first place and how...

But anyway... I can't really complete my build now that you've shown me that, hahah. I need to pick a motherboard for future references... I need to find which CPU Cooler to take also...

I'm just curious if the NZXT HAVIK 140 will work with the Sabranco...

That's basically it so far: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/VTRTzy

I need a motherboard and I'm also worried about the CPU Cooler, actually... 1200 RPM compared to 2000 RPM on many other white ones. It's also pretty damn costy.

speed is one factor to consider for coolers but how big is the fan is another factor

bigger fan can draw more air at lower speed vs a smaller fan which need higher speed to match the bigger unit

check if the air 540 can accept the NZXT unit

the Sabranco is similar to the SaberTooth Z97 mark 1, see if the NZXT is compatible with the board layout

PCPartPicker have yet to update the list

the Z87 SaberTooth is similar to the Z97 variant you might need to refer to the product page of NZXT and Asus instead

or in doubt just email NZXT and Asus directly about compability
