hello, i have a 64 bit win 7 but it still says 4 gb for use and it started a while ago. when i first started to use this pc i had 8 gb for use but i dont know.

one memory might have failed or came loose

i say shut down and re install the RAM and boot into BIOS to confirm 8GB RAM if still say 4GB only then one of them is faulty

sorry to ask but mind telling us the mobo brand and model you are using?

are you using the correct DIMM slot like blue/blue or black/black?

first time i ever heard of this

if the above didn't work...

than I will have to say you might need to backup and reformat your OS

im kinda noob, but how do i get a picture here

alt + print screen keys when you're in the CPU-Z window, paste link with ctrl+v in paint/some other image editing program, save as jpeg/jpg/png. Upload to photobucket/imgur (recommend this one)/imageshack/whatever other image hosting site, copy the .jpeg/jpg/png share link and post it here. Can also click the little picture when posting to have it wrap your image url in tags so it shows on your post as an image.
