Ok, so CPU-Z sees the 8GB of RAM, but at a peculliar frequency (1720 MHz), with some pretty bad latency and in single channel.

 

I think there's something wrong with your memory profile. What is the exact kind of memory you're using? (Manufacturer and model no.) Does it have an XMP profile? Can you load it in BIOS?

and i've tried using the other 2 slots but it doesn't help

ok last resort

 

backup all your data and settings like browsers bookmarks etc.

 

and do a clean re install of the OS

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Can't find the particular model. Looks like this pair, but as separate sticks. Did you purchase it as a dual-channel kit?

They should have an XMP profile. Are you able to load that in your BIOS?
