The quality difference two years make...

I was just watching a old video Linus made for NCIX Tech Tips and holy crap, the quality difference from that to his current videos is massive. Just look:

 

 

 

 

The lighting sucks, the video is way too dark, colour saturation has no "pop", but if you look at the new videos they pop, they have stable smooth even lighting, and the colours pop!

Keep in mind, in an interview (forgot with who) Linus did mention that the camera they used for the longest time at the NCIX studios was nothing special, and was property of NCIX CEO.

 

But at any rate, you're right.. I guess that's how far technology & experience takes you in 2 years.

even tho the shots were crappy , i loved his subtle enthusiasm in his older videos & slight playfulness something that keeps you interested without boring you like some other videos, he had that juice like something like tiny tim's, But his new videos have a lot of amazing product shots(slow panning/extreme close up) never the less. which makes it quite good (really good)these days compared to similar product youtube reviews.

I'll be honest... I prefer the old NCIXTechTips and Linustechtips... sometimes i go back to his old videos to reminisce the old days of linustechtips
