Shipment from GA issue

I know this has been an issue before. But I am on day 4 of having a tracking number and fedex saying they will update when they receive the package. So still printing labels early or still sitting on packages?

Depending on what was ordered: either could be the case.

 

My experience has been that labels for the next week get batch printed at the end of the previous week to increase initial productivity, but if you have something that is backordered in addition to current, in stock items: it may be that the in-stock items were picked, and packaged, and label slapped on box/bag, and is waiting on shelf for backordered item to be available.

You still have a few days before they suggest something might be wrong. Tuesday, if you don't count the weekend (which you shouldn't).

Give it some time, with the discounts they're likely super busy.

That boggles my mind. Because I work in a warehouse that ships hundreds of boxes a day. We print labels as the orders are ready to ship. In fact we measure and weight each box to print the labels. Which from my understanding you need both the weight and measurements to figure out the shipping charge.

Thats another thing. We just ship what we got and back ordered items are shipped when they get in.

From the many threads I have read, the warehouse does not have a good process when it comes to getting orders out.

All items were in stock and still show in stock. And I did a few seasons as seasonal puller and packer at a warehouse. And we would come in the morning to a stack of labels printed at least all those had to be shipped before we could go home pretty much every day we had time for them to print a few more and pack those. So this batch printing ok but maybe a day or two this will be day five of having a label printed and not moved. GA warehouse feels like how the main warehouse was for years and still can on occasion. I had several orders before the GA was a thing and it would be a week to get to the label printed then another week to move. I know in a past forum post LTT addressed it and they were looking into with the GA with a few issues but same issue different carrier.

Hope it works out for you soon @crostiger! My recent package left the GA warehouse after 4 days but now I have to deal with Uniuni/semi the warehouse. I live on a military base so Uniuni cannot deliver to me. Got marked "Out for delivery" then 2 minutes later on the tracking number "delivery attempt failed, incorrect address" but it is correct, they just cant get past security

Godspeed my dude. I remember when my mom did eBay bookseller business over the summer to keep her mind busy (she was a teacher) and the one classroom set of I think it was Magic Treehouse books was going to somewhere like Fort Bragg, and it took nearly a month to go from Philadelphia to North Carolina because the SOP was that it had to be checked through something like at least three bases before it could be certified "safe" so it went on a sightseeing tour along the lines of:

Yeah, I remember a WAN show about this time last year with an exasperated Linus sigh followed by "yeah, we're working on the printing labels too far ahead of time...." And iirc it was going from like a 2-wk advance to a 2-3 day advance.  But that was also the warehouse shipping things out of the Seattle area. Now new warehouse with new people and new issues.

So just an update took about 7 days to leave the warehouse after I had a tracking number. Then another two for delivery which the two days after FedEx received it was good but for the warehouse to sit on a package or have that many labels printed is something for them to look at.
