Doubt it. They likely still bought their stock at a higher price. Prices have to fall, consistently, for a long time before you'll see a trickle down effect.

define "cheaper"... even without the rampocalypse they're very expensive high end devices.

eventually shifts in the memory market will trickle down to the cost of individual hardware, but it's not "this contract fell trough, so the framework is now $50 cheaper", that's just not how the market works.

Since a bunch of RAM memory deals fell apart, you folks think the strix halo mini pcs (such as framework desktop), will become cheaper?

We are still not out of the woods yet on this AI craze. I think it will take years for prices to drop and I doubt they will get to pre AI boom levels, and if they do it will likely be many years down the road. Also bare in mind Framework likely bought a supply of RAM and Storage at higher prices, so they likely cant drop prices until they sell thru that stock.

While I seen on Facebook that 50% of AI data centers have been either canceled or put on hold, who knows if that true. Even then they are still building out large data centers and they will need hardware, so demand is still high. Maybe not as high as we once thought, but still higher than "Normal".

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
