Saw a factory tour pop up on my Facebook feed so I decided to come to the channel to watch it instead.  Jesus Christ so many members only videos. I think I was lucky to get one a week when I was subbed to floatplane so many years ago. I can't decide if it attracts me to sub again to get more content or makes me feel like a second class citizen being excluded.

Did you try filtering for public videos?

Who the hell doesn't use the subscription feed and goes to channels anyway (kidding kind of but seriously why?)

since YouTube allows user to filter, LTT have started to add the members only video.
what you are seeing are not new video but a backlog of the one they stop uploading when they turned members off.

 

I think on one of the one of the WAN show, they sort of said there is few months of backlog that they may add, or may just leave them on floatplane.

Members Only videos are just videos that were exclusive to FP reuploaded to YT since they know not everyone can or wants to subscribe on a different platform when they already consume a lot of YT. So they decided to give the content on YT as well as Members only access.

I'm glad you posted this. I didn't realize it was an option and had honestly pretty much stop visiting the channel as I didn't want to try and filter through all that stuff.

they had a "dump" of members only videos after pausing members-only content because youtube was pushing it too hard with no way of disabling it for the end user - that way to disable was implemented, so they dumped the piled up backlog. this 'problem' of endless members only videos will go away by itself into the histories of youtube.

I always go to channel -> videos -> newest

 

I don't even know what a subscription feed is, but I hate yt "feeds" so that's probably why...
