12700f vs. 12600kf

How is the performance difference between these two processors. Paired with a 4060 GPU and B660M motherboard will there be a gaming difference and/or productivity difference considering the extra cores of the i7 and higher clock of the i5?

Gaming difference, probably not much,

Productivity, depends on what you do, what do you do ?

(I have a 13600K with a 3070, quite similar system, just in case)

So you were looking at buying the used PC with the 12600KF, right?

 

If the context of your question is that you're considering buying the 12600KF PC and then replacing the 12600K with a 12700F, then I'll say that the 12700F is certainly not enough better than the 12600KF to be worth the money and time to do the swap.

I'm just looking at a similarly priced system with near identical specs but the i7 and slightly larger power supply but with worse cpu cooler.

If you already have a 12600f, you might as well wait until you can do a proper upgrade. Performance difference is not worth the money it would cost at all

What cooler specifically? The 240mm AIO in the 12600K system is way overkill for that CPU.

This is a weak cooler

To me a decent air cooler always has heat-pipes, for example

Yeah, I wouldn't want to run a downdraft cooler like this on a 12700F. Assuming they are the same price I'd probably go for the 12600KF + better cooler tbh.

So I recommend ypu post links of your used systems.

 

These coolers are legit just the garbage stock cooler but with a rgb fan. Usually used in systems to make them look more fancy and upsell.
