So my rm750 corsair fried itself yesterday, and I'm looking for a new psu

Would like some recommendations

As for my components they should require around 600w but I'd like some wiggle room so 750 I think it's perfect

For now ive been looking at the rm750x 2024 has a cybenetics gold and a+ for 150€ is it good ?

I would go through an RMA process if you still have the recepit and you bought it less than 10 years ago.

The RM750 comes with a 10 year warranty.

I personally only use Corsair RMx series of PSU's and I have 5 of them.

An RMA is free, usually all you need to do is contact Corsair and probably provide proof of purchase, and they will replace it for you. You will have to send in your old one so they can investigate it.

Yeah I filed a request already but if it takes a month that's too much

Can do. Though they might offer something like an Express RMA where they charge you full retail price (almost always more money than you'd spend buying one), then ship you a replacement, then you can swap out the busted one and ship it back to them. When they verify that it indeed qualifies for RMA, they refund you the full payment

I think I'll just buy a new one so I can have the pc ready to use tomorrow

And I'm go through the rma process so I have one extra

Honestly, every time this happens to me, I do the same.

Bruh, is this a nothing out of the ordinary thing, people ive been talking were like: yeah this just happens sometimes and its a 50 50 chance the rest of your components might be fine

These days I'd be very surprised if a PSU from a reputable manufacturer (like Corsair) took down even one other component in the system. Increased wear, maybe, but unless the part was marginal to begin with, the PSU is supposed to tank the damage before anything else is harmed.
