I have a 2018 Nissan Rouge, I bought it off the lot in 2018. Today going to work the TPMS light starts blinking. I switch the display over to the Tire Pressures and notice one of the TPMS sensors is not displaying a tire pressure, a moment later it came to life. My question is what's the life span of the battery in one of these sensors?

Im wondering if the battery is getting weak and the colder weather is taking its toll.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

The batteries in TPMS sensors are intended to last five to seven years.

My 2018 Chevy Volt did the same thing recently. I had a local tire shop replace all four original sensors. (They're all the same age so they're all going to go around the same time.)

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

Good to know. I'll check the place I go for tires and see what they charge to install them. I recall it wasn't that much.

If you have a Discount Tire or America's Tire nearby (same company), they're quite capable of doing the sensors and programming them correctly. The sensors alone can be $50+ each though, so prepare for a not insignificant bill. You can get OE equivalent sensors for $20 each on a place like RockAuto, but installing and programming would be up in the air.
