after wayyy too many hours on fourms, pcpp and taobao looking at every matx fishtank case thats ever been conceived, and I basically ended up with the conclusion of; i want a corsair 2500x, untill I realized you can even buy it in china, and that the one listing on tmall from it quite literally gave me a popup saying its probably a scam. I'm wondering if anyone knows a place where i can get assistance or if any of you guys could give me some info or point me in the right direction.

My dream Ideal case would be around under 30 ish liters, matx, fishtank with the angled fans like the h6 flow, native vertical gpu mounting, preferablly only vertical gpu mounting as well as fitting all my current parts. i dont give a fuck about airflow, under 90 degrees is good enough, as everything is already undervolted to the lowest possible without getting less than stock performance

Kinda important as well if theres fuckall airflow your pcs performance will suck

i mean by that like i dont care too much. ofc the fans should have some air but its not priority #1. you are talking to the man who once ran a overclocked 7600k and a overlocked 980 in a case with no fans and a cheap 90mm tower cooler for 2 years lmao

tried, but its wayy out of my budget, with buying one alr being a band and importing being around 400 yuan more. as for the o11 mini v2, i looked at it, bit its a atx case and im also not a fan of how th side fans look, with it not filling out the whole side and having ugly gaps, and the original mini has a bar in the middle which just feels too lazy and looks ugly

take a look and see if the antec C5 is available to you?

EDIT: or the aerocool P500C

Youre probably not likely to get many if any angled side intake matx cases as angled side intakes have only really become popular recently with the release of the H6 flow, so there arent many around, expecially when you get more niche like with mATX

What is your budget? If 2000yuan (assuming straight currency conversion) is way out of your budget, I don't think a custom case is going to fit.

Well, I notice there is nothing mentioned here about aesthetics. How are you with woodworking tools? If you can get your hands on some plexiglass, some plywood, and a piece of scrap lumber, you could design and build your dream case for probably pretty cheap (not including labor for design and manufacture)

I imagine the gaps are there to accommodate push pull fans on radiators, though if you have access to a 3D printer, you could probably make use of the spaces

my woodworking is ok, though the last time i did it was 2 years ago so i may be a bit rusty. I'd say my budget is 500 for case. I don't think id be too hard to make, as my school has 3d printers, power tools as well as a laser cutter, and steel in china is pretty cheap, like around 50-100 yuan for a 1mx1m sheet of 0.3mm thick sheet of steel, and precut tempered glass is around 40-100 yuan depending on the cut. my aesthetic is pretty niche with my Ideal case would be around under 30 ish liters (240 or 360mm aio, doesn't matter as i haven't bought a new one yet), matx, fishtank with the angled fans like the h6 flow, native vertical gpu mounting, preferably only vertical gpu mounting. I'm mainly looking for how to start and some steps

I assume you looked at greatwall and aoc?

ofc i have. just the thumbscrews on the glass panel as well as some other issues ive had when building with them in the past as well as aesthetically (mainly poor cable management and meh at best build quality)

Sure, but do you have access to a metal working shop? And the skills to use one?
Like, the cost of a custom case isn't going to be materials (though I have no idea what paint costs), it's going to be labor and machine time.

As a rule of thumb, the more specific your requirements, the more money you're gonna have to spend on fulfilling them, unless you're VERY lucky.

sorta? i mean i have a laser cutter, and i was thinking to make the panels out of steel, super gluing things what never need to come out, and using 3d printed interlocking mechanisms and thumb scerws to put it together. and no i have no metalworking or blacksmithing history, only a bit of woodworking

Huh, okay. That might actually work. Normally you'd use a breakpress to bend the metal, but if you were to just cut the panels and assemble with 3d printed corners connected by bolts, you could probably make a pretty slick rig. You'll get a significant amount of air leakage along the seams, especially if you use thinner steel, but would be pretty neat.
I really didn't expect you to own laser cutter capable of slicing steel.

i dont own one, my school does, and i honestly think id have to use like 0.3mm steel cause its not that powerful, but worse case senario id just go to a metal shop and have it cut for like 50 yuan

I have 2 cans of white non-conductive spray paint, should i just use that to paint up the steel?

Probably fine. Do read up on how to prep the steel for spray painting. Mostly just scuffing it up with steel wool and then clean with isopropyl

You are worried about thumb screws and gaps on a commercial made case, but are willing to use spray paint and 3d parts?
