I ordered my pc parts and when I put them all in the case the pc turns on but I get no display I only get dram light. So I reseated everything still dram light. I returned the ram and the cpu and got new ones still dram. Last thing I tried was flashing the bios maybe it’s not compatible with my ryzen 5 9600X so I flash the bios put the computer back together and still the same thing what am I doing wrong. I put my specs in the comments. I know the it looks like the build is a mess it’s because I’ve been taking the parts out and putting them back in so I don’t cable manage if I know it’s not gonna work. And yes I know the gpu isn’t inserted.

My CPU is the Ryzen 5 9600X , I have a 9060xt 16GB, 32gb DDR5 cl30 600Mhz T-Force Ram, 1TB Samsung 990 ssd, and my motherboard is the - GIGABYTE B650 AORUS Elite AX (AM5/LGA 1718/ AMD B650/ATX/ 5-Year Warranty/DDR5/ M.2/ PCIe 5.0/USB 3.2 Gen2X2 Type-C/WiFi 6E/2.5GbE LAN/Q-Flash Plus/EZ-Latch/Gaming Motherboard)

Is the RAM on the QVL list for the motherboard?

If you've replaced the RAM and the CPU, might be a problem with the motherboard itself.

This is why I like buying used hardware. It's known to work. I've had far more failures with new products than used.

Could be the angle of the image, but I don't see any stand-offs between case and mainboard. Those are an ab-so-lute requirement! ☠️

Take the mainboard out of the case, put it on the (cardboard) box it came with and try booting.

What is stand-off I screwed the motherboard into the case.

Yeah I checked on gigabytes website and pc part picker. The only thing I guess I can do is try to update the motherboard bios again.

I just looked up what a standoff is and my mobo came with one. If I didn’t put it on the case does that stop it from working?

It can. The stand-offs are to keep the back of the board from contacting the case, because most cases are metal, and this means it can short-circuit components on the back of the board.

The case should have come with a set of stand-offs, with holes to screw them in for different sized boards. Your board appears to be ATX, so you'd want to install those in the holes designated for ATX boards. This is often indicated by a letter A next to the stand-off hole. (M is for MicroATX, and I is for Mini-ITX) If no markings are present, you can check the manual, or line them up with the holes in the board itself.

Could you even put a board with an integrated IO plate win without standoffs? The IO plate would not click into place.

Good question! I don't know, I've never tried 😉

I recommend watching this older LTT video, the relevant part for you starts about 69 (nice 😛 ) minutes in.
