600 is larger than 500.

You should be fine.

I really wish that we'd just make organic hardware already, that grows and adapts to the demands it needs to meet. That way, grannies' computers can be floppy sacks of organicness and the 12 year old Minecrafters will look like the guys that only do bicep curls, and the nerdy programmers will finally have justice, with their body-builder rigs that skipped leg day.

and by should you mean you could run 260x on 300w psu.

It's because the graphics card has the 500w in my psu then how about the other computer parts?

Graphics card will use like 100w. It's 500w recommended psu and they recommend way more than you need. You could easily run two 260x's on 600w.

The minimum wattage PSU they recommend is wattage for the entire system, not just the GPU, and even those figures are usually more than enough.

Desktop: Intel Core i7-5820K, Corsair H115i, Asus X99-Deluxe/USB 3.1, G.Skill Ripjaws4 32GB 2800MHz CL16, Zotac RTX 3070, Samsung 950 Pro 512GB in Angelbird Wings PX1, Samsung 850 EVO 1TB, 5*Seagate 12TB, Cooler Master V1200, Phanteks Enthoo Luxe, Windows 10 Pro. Phillips 328P6VUBREB, Corsair Vengeance K95 RGB Cherry MX Brown, Logitech G502 X Plus, Sennheiser HD700.

AYANEO 2S: AMD 7800U, 32GB 7500MHz, 2TB WD SN850X. Windows 11.

Yeah the recommended Wattage is for the whole system not just the GPU. On top of that, they recommend more than you need because lots of people have crappy and/or old power supplies that can't supply their rated Wattage, and customer service is expensive. It's easier to tell people to get an overkill PSU than it is to continuously deal with people using crappy PSUs and blue screening.

The highest Wattage drawn from the R7 260X in the TomsHardware review was 130 in bitcoin mining. I reckon an R7 260X could be run with an AMD CPU on 300W or so quite nicely. Wouldn't recommend anything below 400 though. There aren't many good PSUs below 400W anyway.

Seasonic and Antec has some suitable psus below 400w like the ea380 or bp350.

It's P4-600W

That sounds like it could be a 'Generic' PSU to Me. Is there no Brand name on the power supply anywhere ? Also there should be a label on the psu showing the 12V rail maximum output.

Something like this label - http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cases/display/corsair-psu-roundup_7.html

The R7 260X won't pull a huge amount of power, but it is always better to have a branded power supply as some of the cheap 'no name' jobs can take your other components out if it goes wrong.

I think its brand name is zeno power.

And it also has the label.

If your psu is anything like this> http://www.ayosdito.ph/Zeno+power+ATX+P4+SWITCHING+POWER+SUPPLY-7533337.htm , I'd suggest you get a new one as that psu is a poo poo. Seriously. No 80+ certification, only 216w on the 12v rail, even then I don't think it will be able to output that much, seeing that it lacks any pci-e connector& and only a single 4pin cpu connector. Who knows what sort of protection feature it has,or lack off

Only 18A and 216W on the 12V rail just as I thought  :o I agree it definitely needs changing ASAP.

Is Aerocool Strike-X 600w 80+ Bronze good?

You only need around 450W for that graphics card. A 550W if you want a bit more headroom.

Aerocool are not brilliant to be honest, although it will be better than your current psu.

Can you get Superflower psu's in the Philippines ? The Superflower Amazon would be good enough if you are on a tight budget. There is a 450W and 550W model.

No, it's not. It's not absolute crap but there are better alternatives.

Hmm. The Strike X Series is Aerocool's high end series. That's kind of sad.

Here's a less than impressive review of the 800W Strike X unit.

http://www.kitguru.net/components/power-supplies/zardon/aerocool-strike-x-800w-psu-review/7/

Not many reviews of Aerocool PSUs that I could find. Couldn't find a teardown of the Strike X unit. Would not recommend the Strike X 600W or any other Aerocool PSUs generally.

Can you link the website of that local store, or list some of the Cooler Master or Antec power supplies that seem pretty good and are within your budget?
