My memory sticks from G.Skill are hitting 50C when I am playing TLOU2. Is this a safe temperature as I have heard some memory sticks throw errors once they reach 50C mark. Mine is a Trident Royal 3600Mhz CL16

Thats completely fine!  Anything under 75c I would say is acceptable.
Some people say anything under 81c to prevent damage or errors.

50c is really good 🙂

Nice build!

Read through the comments here. I think you're probably fine if you're not experiencing issues and haven't done any manual tuning of voltages/timings. 50c is the edge of where you want to be but unless you have some settings/timings pushed to their limits, its unlikely to be much of an issue.

Realistically if you're not doing any sort of memory tuning, these sticks should be rated to something like 80C for XMP. I forget the exact temperature they're rated for, I just know it's somewhere around there and realistically if you get above 70C on the memory there's something seriously wrong with your system's cooling.

If you do memory tuning, that's when higher memory temps can be concerning as generally timings are temperature sensitive, so if you tune your memory for something like 40C (like if you just run a memory stress test without a GPU load), going over 50C can start to throw errors depending on how on the edge you are. It's not something that's night and day "if you're above 50C you'll have errors" though, you can tune it for any temperature. There are plenty of sticks that don't even have temperature sensors on them, so I wouldn't be putting too much mind into what it's saying and more care about whether it's throwing errors or not.

Update: I tested it in some othergames and in memory stress test max was 47-48. Looks like TLOU2 is stressing the memory much more than expected.

Posted by deleted says it all. Complete nonsense... My B-dies always run above 40c (I think max is like 55c) there are no errors, despite being overclocked...
