I am unable to change the shared GPU memory (6 GB) for my Intel HD 620 graphics. My system has 12 GB total RAM as one of the sticks is soldered. I have tried to go into BIOS/UEFI settings through every possible method but yet am unable to find a setting for GPU memory allocation. The following images are task manager snapshots of my system. The only problem I have is a startup trail issue as I have an HDD and SSD in my laptop, the dvd module was removed and my old HDD was put in place when I upgraded with a 256 GB SSD. How do I change the shared GPU memory from 6 B to 4 ? The highest usage it's gone to is roughly 1.1 GB so I don't really care, I mainly and specifically play EVE online, no other games (not that I can, but that's a topic for my wallet haha)
EDIT - Maybe now the screen shots are more legible

Great screenshots.

Just because its shared doesnt mean its dedicated. You dont need to do anything.

Those are some awful screenshots.

As said above, no need to worry about anything, you have the 12GB available for any programs, and if something requires that much video memory, the iGPU will be able to make use of it, there's no reason to try to mess with that.

Some of my performance suffers when using EVE online with 1 character, doing this may help, I'm just trying different methods out since cache clearance isn't working.

your issue is most likely everything else other than the ram. Those specs arent exactly great, even for eve online standards

What issues is that causing? Shared memory is shared with the OS and managed by the driver, so unless its causing issues I wouldn't touch it.

1 of my EVE clients runs perfectly fine with no data fetching latency, while my other EVE client has almost 2 second gaps even when I am just trying to know the name of the module (in game item) I am using and when undocking from station, 1 of my clients has an awful stuttering for almost 10-15 seconds with fs going to almost 0.3-0.68 and latency going to something like 1447ms. So I'm trying to decrease the GPU allocation and redirect it to RAM usage only.

That ram is shared, since your only using ~1GB of it, the rest of the ram can be used by other processes.

I think you need a faster GPU/system here, I don't think this sharing setting is your issue.

my issue with only 1 client, so there's definitely some data fetch/upload issue here, GPU doesn't particularly cause troubles even at 1080p, I have a comfy 40+ fps which for this laptop and for it's age is a miracle in and of itself.

Could it be the CPU or RAM speed? Thats a dual core low power mobile chip from a while ago.

I really don't think the issue is this shared ram.

Why do you think this is the issue? What have you done to rule out CPU and GPU performance?

Only 1 EVE client faces this issue, it's a 3 year old account, whereas the other EVE client faces no issues and is at most a month old (client - different game account). The newer client is at peak performance (as much as this close to 7 year old machine can give), it has no data store/fetch issues at all, only 1 client suffers. I have deleted and reinstalled the game twice and cleared the whole cache 4 times but it simply doesn't seem to work. One of my friends stated how in his PC 1 client uses 13 GB RAM and 5 GB VRAM with a 30/40 series card. I figured giving it more RAM might help since it peaks out at 10.3 GB RAM and 0.7-1.1 GB shared GPU memory.

But if that's a hardware issue, how come only one "client" is affected, while the other is perfectly fine?

Sounds like a game issue to me, maybe you just need to sell all those coins and health packs you collected over the years in the item shop?

(I'm not even kidding, I'm 99% sure this is a game issue)

makes sense, I'll see what I can do. Btw I play EVE online, the MMORPG, we don't have coins and health packs haha. Will see what can be done for the game itself.
