motherboards crossfire and sli

needed to buy and build a computer for a friend and saw this.

It is a bundle with crossfire motherborad, so does this mean that this motherboard will only be possible to put AMD graphics in? I can't put any GTX in it?

It will work fine with ant Nvidia card, it only doesn't supports SLI I think(dual Nvdia cards)

Just checked, yes it only supports 1 nvidia Card, because the other card will only runs on 4x mode)

you said 4 X mode right? so if it is an AMD what it will be?

yes if you run 2 card one will be 16x and the othr 4x, but as it is pci-e 3.0 it has the same bandwith as pci-e2.0 8x, so there will be no (or almost imperceptible) bottleneck, so no problem with that

Crossfire compatibility doesn't translate to SLI compatibility. The 2nd card in crossfire can run at as low as 4x but nVidia needs 8x.
