Hello, I am currently experience pretty large visual artifacs (video added), they happen pretty randomly whether doing intensive tasks or just using a browser. Although I managed to trigger it sometimes by windowing out of full screen. I have found a temporary solution to this though, I push in the gpu cables aswell as the psu's to make sure they are in properly. This seems to fix it for a few days to a week before it starts happening again. Im hoping someone out there could help me find out how to completely fix it. Thanks.

If the artifacts go away when pushing the cables, I'd try new cables and also check the sockets for any damage.

When you push on the cables, you may be correcting a cable not inserted properly but it may also be a case of improper crimping (the pins are crimped on the cables) or a broken wire that makes contact again when you push on it.

If you can't find any issue, then maybe you can correct the issue with zip ties, hot glue or any other means to physically solidify the contacts.

P.S., the dust does not help cables making contact. While you are at it, a good dusting will do wonders for the longevity of your computer.

Hey, thanks for the reply. What am i looking for with the sockets which indicates damage? May I add that previously the cables were pressing against the glass panel, causing power problems for the gpu (hence the glass panel is gone) Where would i go about getting fresh cables?

Damage to the sockets would be (but not limited to) cracked plastic, bent pins, cracked solder.

As for new cables, I assume you got a modular PSU. Right ? In that case, you should contact the PSU manufacturer to get exactly the right cables for your PSU (do not mix and match for modular cables are not interchangeable and can cause short circuits). If you are lucky, you may have extra cables that came with your PSU (remember that box you stored in a safe place) 🙂

If you can't find cables or if the cost is too high, you can also switch the whole PSU. It will come with all the cables needed.

Have a nice day !

Nevermind... the visual artifacts are happening again, some reason only on my second monitor though. Any suggestions? I may take another look inside the pc. It may be because of the tight fit of the psu (where the cables were not in properly) and its being pulled out. Im upgrading to a bigger case very soon anyway.

Hello, I am currently experience pretty large visual artifacs (video added), these happen every 5 or so days, where I solve it temporarily by pushing in all of the psu cables, this seems to fix it. However give it another 5 days and it comes back. Could this be as a result of the case? The psu is in a pretty tight spot where the cables have to bend pretty harshly to get around. Also I may add, that previously the gpu's cables were pressed tightly against the glass panel, this caused different power issues. Now being solved by leaving the glass panel off. Could this mean that the artifacts are a result of this? Im planning on upgrading to a bigger case, to fit the gpu with cables in, and potentailly aswell having a larger space for a psu. Please reccomend if you can. Thanks!
